Because it is not an action-packed film, it may not be the ideal choice for everyone. However, the film works as if it were a book, slowly turning the pages so that the spectator can absorb as much of the delicate details as possible, which lead to deep questions about the film and society itself current.
The film takes us to an apocalyptic world, filled with elements biopunk, reminiscent of a fairy tale. With huge monuments in the background of a futuristic but desolate setting, covered by a sea of fog, photography is also an aspect to be greatly appreciated when watching the film.
Accompanying young Vesper and her orb-shaped winged android, which seems to have been plucked straight from some idea of “Star Wars”, the film introduces us into a mysterious and dark world, which leads us to question several aspects about our body and soul.
The film is directed by Kristina Buozyte and Bruno Samper, with a screenplay co-written by Brian Clark. The cast consists of Raffiella Chapman, Eddie Marsan, Rosy McEwen, Richard Brake, Melanie Gaydos and Edmund Dehn, with produced by Kristina Buozyte, Daiva Jovaisiene, Asta Liukaityte, Guillaume Natas, Alexis Perrin, Benoit Roland and Florent Steiner.
