In part of its statement, Uber explained how its users will be able to use robotaxis services.

“Uber users will be able to experience the safety and enjoyment of Waymo Driver on the Uber and Uber Eats apps. Passengers will also be able to hail a Waymo vehicle directly via the Waymo One app,” the company said.

Waymo, which belongs to Alphabet, a company that also owns Google, started testing its robotaxis in 2021 in San Francisco, California.

Uber and Waymo did not make it clear, at least in this initial statement, if they intend to take the novelty to other cities in the United States or if this is just a test.
