Recently, a mother shared her story about a punishment tactic she had used on her teenage daughter that sparked discussion on social media.

Rather than confiscating her phone or restricting access to social media, this mom removed her daughter's bedroom door to convey the importance of respecting rules and boundaries.

While the approach was met with criticism by some, the mother explained that she felt extremely frustrated with her daughter's behavior and decided to take action to restore family harmony.

She even seemed to be enjoying the task, with a smile on her face and a lot of excitement as she removed each nail that held the door together.

Apparently, the situation was urgent, as the mother was still wearing her work uniform when she got home.

In the end, the door was removed and the mother proudly showed the empty frame, explaining that children don't realize the value of little things like privacy.

She explained that, in her home, having the option to close the door is a privilege and that she wanted to teach her daughter that lesson.

The mother explained that she no longer needed a door and the daughter looked incredulous. The young woman entered her room in a bad mood and the mother was curious to know what it would be like to sleep without the door.

The next morning, the mother asked her daughter how her night without the door had been. The teenager, still wearing an embarrassed smile, replied that it wasn't that bad and suggested that her mother try it too.

The teenager found an ingenious solution to the problem of having her bedroom door removed.

She decided to use the closet door as a makeshift door, opening it all the way so that it partially blocked the view of her room.

Her mother reported that although her daughter was trying to appear calm, she knew the situation made her upset.

Thankfully, the mother fixed the issue and installed her daughter's door back in place, as shown in a cheery video shared on TikTok in March 2023.
