The National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon), linked to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, made available a new reporting channel to combat abusive prices at gas stations.
With it, consumers can now register complaints through an online form.

This initiative is part of the measures taken to ensure compliance with Petrobras' decision to reduce the prices of fuel sold to distributors.
Despite the announced reductions, many consumers reported that prices were not passed on correctly, and there were even cases in which prices temporarily increased to then return to the previous values, in an attempt to defraud the reduction.
Fair Price Mutirão
With the objective of verifying whether the filling stations are adequately transferring price variations to the final consumer and whether they are in In compliance with current regulations, Senacon coordinated the 'Fair Price Mutirão' throughout the country on May 24th, with the support of Procons state.
On that occasion, fuel prices were monitored in Brazilian cities.
The data collected at the time were compiled in a report that was released to the public last Tuesday, 30th of May, providing greater transparency and information on pricing practices at service stations fuels.
This action aimed to guarantee the protection and rights of consumers, promoting a fairer and more balanced market.
