Several TV Box options have been on the rise in recent years, ensuring access to streaming and to the various channels almost free of charge. What many did not know is that they were making improper use of the signal from several channels. These TV boxes are considered “clandestine” when they are not authorized by the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) to show what they show.
In recent days, the agency announced that it will block these boxes that receive signals illegally. It is estimated that there are up to 7 million TV Boxes without Anatel's authorization in Brazil. All are unapproved devices and considered pirated.

Whoever makes use of the illegal service is certainly subject to the same penalty as whoever sells it, however Anatel informed that the focus of the operation will not be on the user, but on who is providing the piracy.
Anatel announces blocking of TV Box in Brazil
The agency announced the blocking of millions of TV Boxes across the country. There were several complaints received for the action to be put into practice. The blocking will be effected from the IP address, which is an identification of the box. Blockages will happen gradually. The guarantee is that all signals will be cut soon.
These devices make use of the internet to access channels. For this, the TV performs a decoding of the paid channels so that the signal is transmitted, that is, data theft occurs so that people can access the channels that are private. This is set up as crime.
This criminal act ends up becoming a risk for the cell phones that are nearby, since anyone else may be prone to suffering from the entry of viruses that are capable of stealing information valuable. Crime can be framed as a cyber risk to other devices.
