Workers from the north of SP will be able to have credit of up to R$ 50 thousand

O government of São Paulo, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Supply, opened a line of credit emergency for fishermen and rural producers affected by heavy rains on the north coast paulista. Falling trees and landslides due to the accumulation of water have been affecting the region and harming workers.

How does credit work for workers?

Each fisherman or rural producer can request a loan of up to R$ 50,000 from the São Paulo Agribusiness Expansion Fund (FEAP). FEAP is administered by the São Paulo Secretary of Agriculture and Supply and has resources from the State Treasury and other sources, such as the Inter-American Development Bank (BID).

The fund finances investment projects in the agricultural and agroindustrial sector, such as the acquisition of machinery and equipment, construction or renovation of facilities, modernization of production systems and others. The payment of this loan granted can be made in up to 72 months, without charging interest.

Workers from coastal cities, such as Bertioga, Caraguatatuba, Guarujá, Ilhabela, São Sebastião and Ubatuba, can join the modality. Citizens who already have funding from FEAP can request an extension of the payment of ongoing installments. To apply for a loan, simply fill out a online form or go to the Agricultural Houses, which are open from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.
