Koji Sato will be the future president of Japan's main automaker, which for his management, already presented a team that will be responsible for the aggressive commitment focused on the electric models of brand.
He states that electric vehicles (EVs) are an essential topic for his team, which will spare no efforts to present a new, state-of-the-art electric model by the year 2026.
He says that while Toyota is committed to improving its existing models, the new team will lead the shift towards electric models at the company.

When presenting the team, the future CEO made a point of listing several employees who will make up the team and their due functions such as carbon neutrality, security technology, as well as oversight of regions such as North America and Asia.
Names that already existed in the company were cited, such as Hiroki Nakajima, who is responsible for supervising medium-sized vehicles, but will now occupy the executive vice-presidency of supervising technology.
Another well-known name is Yoichi Miyazaki, who is currently responsible for overseeing commercial operations and will now become CFO.
All role changes, including that of Sato, currently Brand Director who will become Brand President, will take place on April 1.
Effort for their cars to reduce emission levels
Toyota is often seen by competitors as being inferior in keeping up with the social changes of electrification. However, Sato says that this will be the company's newest priority.
Toyota employees insist on claiming to have the technology of battery electric cars or even pure EVs, however the truth is that its competitors, Tesla, Japanese rival Nissan and China's BYD, have already taken the lead in this Marketplace.
Therefore, the company is committed to producing quality EVs, trying to find solutions for batteries that have high costs. In addition, Sato states that the toyota aims to make the smartest, safest and most fun EVs, including entertainment features.
