Jota Júnior, one of Rede Globo's iconic narrators, was fired after 24 years of service. According to information, he lost his job just last March.
However, the professional now asks that the time in which he worked contracted as a Legal Entity (PJ), without a formal contract, be recognized.

The process, as pointed out by the Uol portal, amounts to R$ 15.8 million in indemnity funds. Also according to the information, Jota Júnior accuses the broadcaster of having reduced his salary for no apparent reason.
Jota Júnior claims to have been unregistered for almost 20 years
As stated in the process, which runs at TRT-2 (Regional Labor Court of the 2nd Region), Jota Júnior claims that he was unregistered for almost 20 years.
According to the Notícias da TV website, other employees of TV Globo started to have registration governed by the CLT after an action for the general regularization of employees in 2019.
In the process, the narrator says that the wage was reduced by almost BRL 20,000 with the change in hiring. Because he cannot remain unemployed, he alleges that he had to accept the established change.
By law in force in the country, the professional can only request the fulfillment of labor rights relating to the five years prior to the date of action. In this way, as the process was established this year, he could ask for retroactive rights only until the year 2018.
Career
Narrator Jota Júnior, who was born in Americana (SP), became known for his work on TV Bandeirantes, on the Show do Esporte program, where he even narrated editions of the World Cup. Jota joined Band in 1980 and left the station in 1999, totaling almost 20 years of work.
After leaving the São Paulo broadcaster, the professional signed a contract with SporTV to assume a title position at the time. In the new home, he also narrated several important games in Brazil.
However, in recent years he has lost space and started only to narrate matches in youth tournaments, in the second division of the Brasileirão. His last game for TV Globo was Brasil de Pelotas x Ponte Preta, for the second phase of the Copa do Brasil, on March 7.
