Monte Castelo – Legião Urbana
This song was written by Renato Russo, in 1989, and was a great success for the band. Its lyrics are composed of excerpts from the Bible and have verses from the ’11th sonnet’ by Luís Camões.
The Prophet's Song' - Queen
The song is over eight minutes long and was composed by guitarist Brian May. It appears on the 1975 album 'A Night at the Opera'. The song was written after he had a dream about a natural disaster, as in the first testament, inspired by the flooding of Noah's ark.
Creeping Death' - Metallica
This song is on Metallica's 1984 album 'Ride the Lightning'. The lyrics give voice to the Angel of Death described in the Book of Exodus, sent by God to execute the first son of the Egyptians.

Part of the 1967 album 'The Piper at the Gates of Dawn', it is inspired by the best-known miracle in the Bible, in the New Testament. The miracle was the healing of the paralytic. The band was inspired by the Book of Ecclesiastes.
