Amazon recently announced Fire TV Channels, a free service that will work across devices of the Fire TV lineup and will provide users with access to an extensive selection of content from streaming.
The company announced that it has partnered with nearly 400 channels, including the NHL, PGA, ABC News and Condé Nast, to offer free TV programming to its customers.

The contents of these channels bring both local and international information on news, sports, travel, cuisine, musical attractions, movies and series, television programs and much more.
According to Amazon, Fire TV Channels content will be automatically attached to devices that are already used by customers.
To access it, simply click on the “Free” tab, which will be available on the home screen of all Fire devices. The service will have live and recorded content, with daily updates and new attractions.
Charlotte Maines, director of advertising, monetization and development for Fire TV, spoke more about the news.
“With Fire TV Channels, we're providing a simple, category-based experience that makes it easy to choose what to watch. Meanwhile, we are constantly expanding the content offering to users,” she said.
Fire TV Channels is part of Amazon's attempt to compete with Roku and Google TV, which have also bundled hundreds of free TV channels on their streaming services.
It is worth mentioning that Fire TV Channels is funded by advertising, which can be a disadvantage for some users who will have to deal with ads appearing on their screen.
