Samsung smartphones may not update Android 14

New information has found that Samsung's high-end devices may not receive the Android 12 update. The source SamMobile, an expert on the subject, pointed out that 23 devices from the South Korean company may not receive the update and the OneUI 4.0. The novelty is expected to arrive in August 2023, but some recent devices from the brand will not receive the new one Android.

The list includes the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Z Flip, as the source was based on Samsung software updates. In 2021, the system's technological policies changed, pointing out that devices released after that year would be entitled to receive only three future versions of the Android system.

Therefore, the mentioned devices will no longer receive One UI 4 and Android 14, according to the rule changes that took place in 2021.

Certainly, this is information that is based on the company's own policies and there is no disclosure from Samsung stating which devices will be updated. Expert SamMobile estimates that the list of devices that will receive future updates will be determined according to the new software policies.
