More details about the Mais Médicos 2023 program
In 2023, the Ministry of Health published that the co-participation category will prioritize municipalities in social vulnerability and lack of assistance. Work in these areas can receive incentives of up to R$ 120,000.
A major differential is the selection and financial aid for Brazilians who graduated in the country through student loans.
According to the announcement, all medical professionals will receive a training grant that will be deducted from the Primary Health Care floor. Other costs, such as housing allowance and food, must be paid by the municipality that will receive the doctor.
Among the benefits offered is the incentive to education, as professionals must attend a specialization or master's degree within a four-year period.
Likewise, an incentive with an approximate value of R$ 238,000 to R$ 475,000 will be available. To apply for assistance, you must have participated in the FIES(Financing for Higher Education Students) and remain in the Mais Médicos program for 48 months.
This proposal aims to continue encouraging people who graduated from the educational program and guarantee assistance for the payment of up to 80% of student loans.
The period of maternity leave for women will also be protected by the program, in order to guarantee compensation for six months.
The first public notice of Mais Médicos will carry out a stage of registration and validation of municipalities. Afterwards, the Federal Government will publish a new notice to carry out the registration and selection of professionals from the Mais Médicos 2023 program.
