1. Kaffeklubben Island

Located in Greenland, this is the northernmost uninhabited point on planet Earth. The island was discovered in 1900 and is about 1km long. Despite the harsh environment, it is possible to find vegetation of mosses, liverworts, lichens and flowering plants.

2. Geographic South Pole

Known to be the southernmost uninhabited point on planet Earth, the Geographic South Pole was discovered in 1911. The place is characterized by strong winds and cold. One group went to the pole, but on the way back, they died of hunger and cold. Nowadays there is an Amundsen-Scott South Pole station which has been occupied by researchers since 1957.
