What are the fruits with the most carbohydrates?

When it comes to the amount of carbs and sugar that fruits contain, not all fruits are created equal. According to experts, there really is a significant difference between the various types of fruit that depends on many factors such as the amount of water and fiber available.

Fresh tropical fruits tend to dominate in terms of carbohydrate content. In that sense, bananas, one of many people's favorite fruits, contain about 30 grams of net carbs (the amount of carbs left over after subtracting the fiber content).

In the case of

sleeves, there are about 22 grams of carbohydrate per cup, while pineapple follows closely at 19 grams per cup. However, the fruit that contains the most carbohydrates of all comes from the South Pacific and is called breadfruit. It features approximately 60 grams of net carbs per 1-cup serving.

Fruits that contain less carbohydrates

Just as some options have a lot of carbohydrates, there are other fruits with almost none. In this way, we can speak of raspberries and blackberries, for example, which have five grams of net carbs per 100 grams (about three handfuls).

Only a small amount more is included in the strawberries, with six grams of net carbs per serving. Following the line of red fruits, the blueberries are located at the higher end, with 12 grams of liquid per 100 grams, which is still less than most other fruits.

Therefore, if you are starting a diet that tries to reduce the amount of calories per day as much as possible, it might be more interesting to vary the fruits that have more carbohydrates. Thus, throughout the week, you can consume different types of fruit, both those with more calories and those with less calories.
