Over the years, a family manages to generate countless direct and indirect descendants. In this way, it is possible that there are more than 2 or 3 people with the same last name and genetic background around the world, even if they have never met in their lives.

With that in mind, some scientists have developed an application called FamilySearch. The platform is already available for Android and IOS systems and allows an individual to discover some information about your family tree, such as: full name, city, date of birth, death and other data of the relatives.

To do this, you must download the FamilySearch app on your mobile device through the Play Store or the App Store. Next, you must fill in the requested information in the “Search for an ancestor” field. The more information you provide to the FamilySearch system, the more refined your search will be, thus making it easier for you to find your descendant.

To view the information, press the “Browse” button. Upon completing the search, the application will provide any and all types of historical records available on the network, processing information from different parts of the world.

In this way, in addition to knowing important points in your history, with FamilySearch, you and your family will be able to meet possible relatives or descendants even in other nations of the world.

Another important point is that, through FamilySearch, you can contribute so that other people can find you, thus attaching data such as historical files and records of your birth so that, in the future, someone can access this data in the search for descendants.

The platform still aims to allow the preservation of memories of families around the world through technology.
