Sony claims a "technical error" when calculating the price of switching from PlayStation Plus to Extra, Deluxe or Premium versions. Change your plan without paying a fee
Sony allegedly overcharged in order to compensate for discounted monthly fees. However, this fee especially hurts those who used the promotion to accumulate several months of service in their account.
Players can now upgrade their PS Plus Essential subscription to Extra, Deluxe or Premium for the right price. However, Sony still requires the entire remaining term of the service to be converted. So if you have four years of monthly payments, all those periods are taken into account when calculating the conversion value.

In the case of Brazil, which does not have access to this package, PlayStation Plus Deluxe will be available at a price lower than Premium and will include a catalog of famous classic games from the original generations of PlayStation. This version offers all the benefits of previous plans, plus adds 340 games, including those for PS3 via cloud streaming, a catalog of famous classics, access to cloud streaming and timed games limited. However, this subscription level will not be available in Brazil at first.
- PS Plus Extra
In addition to all the benefits of the previous level, a catalog of up to 400 of the most popular PS4 and PS5 games, including hits from the PlayStation Studios catalog and partners. This service will be on the market for R$ 52.90 per month.
- PS Plus Essential
This more basic version offers the same benefits that PlayStation Plus already guarantees today, counting on 2 months of downloadable games, exclusive discounts, cloud storage to save games and access to multiplayer. It will be on the market for R$ 34.90 per month.
