The annual readjustments of toll tariffs are part of the road concession contract in the state of São Paulo and are defined by Artesp.

Both the reductions and the increases were published in the Official Gazette of SP last Wednesday, 28. Check out the new proposal!

Increase and decrease in toll prices in São Paulo

The readjustment of toll tariffs on highways in the state of São Paulo is determined in accordance with the correction index established in the concession agreements.

On highways that adopt the IPCA (Ample National Consumer Price Index) as a reference, there was an increase of up to 3.9% in toll rates.

On the other hand, on highways that use the IGP-M (General Price Index – Market), there will be a reduction of up to 4.5% in tariff values. These readjustments are carried out based on inflation indices and aim to adapt tariffs to cost variations and prevailing economic conditions.

In addition to the annual readjustment, on highways managed by CCR, such as AutoBan, SPVias and RodoAnel Oeste, an additional R$ 0.10 increase will be applied on tariffs.

The concessionaire justifies this measure as a way to compensate for the damage caused by the coronavirus pandemic. This measure aims to mitigate the financial impacts faced by the company due to the health crisis.

On the Anchieta-Imigrantes system, considered the most expensive, fares will rise from R$33.80 to R$35.30. It is worth mentioning that the last tariff adjustment took place in December 2022, after a freeze period due to the elections.

With the rise in inflation, tariff prices rose by up to 11.73%. These adjustments reflect the need to monitor the cost and maintenance rates of the highways, as well as current inflation.
