After the first year of study, Elijah decided to change his major to business economics and entered the faculty of business. It was during this period that he was introduced to the world of data and analytics, as this discovery piqued his interest and led him to explore opportunities outside of academia.
He found a job in fraud analysis at a bank, which he found overall good work and for which he is grateful for the time he spent there.
He felt his previous work in fraud analysis was repetitive and uninspiring. He noticed that many people face this problem when looking for jobs that are considered “stable” and found it difficult to find the desired balance between stability and stimulation.
After working for less than a year at that company, at the age of 22, he had a moment of discovery. It was during this period that Elijah learned about the responsibilities and activities of a data analyst while still employed at his first job.
Feeling a strong desire to join the tech world, he saw a data analyst career as the best way to achieve that goal.
