Initially, 700,000 telephone chips with a 20GB data package will be delivered by Brazil, as authorized by the Federal Government. Last week, more than 6,000 of these chips were delivered, divided among 15 public schools.
How to get the chips?
Aiming to guarantee free access to mobile internet for students from families registered in the Registry Unique, only students from families registered in the program are entitled to chips, as well as devices furniture. If it fits the requirements, it is necessary to check with the student's school if it is already part of the program.
If the school has not yet been considered, ask if there is a plan for registration on Internet Brasil. According to the Ministry of Citizenship, it is the responsibility of the schools participating in the program to register the distribution, as well as to keep the chips that are not delivered.
How do chips work?
The chips already come with 20 gigabytes of mobile data, which are renewed monthly. They are neutral chips, similar to the others, but have the e-SIM Card technology, which allows them to be activated or deactivated directly from a command center, and, if necessary, the change of operator can be done in a remote.
It is also clarified that the program is in compliance with the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), thus, the chips are not tracked individually. In this way, the privacy of users in relation to the use of the chip is protected.
