new unique font
Twitter's new look includes a new font for texts and high contrast modes. In addition, the platform has improved its web version. According to the company, Twitter for the Web has undergone improvements in its accessibility. All to ensure a better user experience on the network.
Some of Twitter's elements have been highlighted in bold and larger fonts. Other than that, the platform has standardized the look and feel for PCs and smartphones. Website and app are more similar than ever.
It is worth mentioning that the new font was created exclusively by and for Twitter. That is, there is still no other social network that uses it. Named Chirp, the new character model was introduced in early 2021.
The new font was already in use on the blog and in company announcements. However, now it has actually reached users of the social network and has become the default font on Twitter.
more changes
The Twitter colors have also changed. The company now offers more black tones and less blue. The aim is to improve the contrast and the effect it has on users' vision. In this way, it is also possible to give more prominence to other elements of the network.
The follow button, which used to be blue, is now white. Blue therefore remains on links, hashtags and quotes.
The texts will now be aligned to the left. This facilitates and speeds up the reading of the internet user. The change only does not occur in eastern languages, which have a specific form of positioning.
According to Twitter, the empty space has been reduced. The elements are closer together and the background padding has become smaller. This, however, should be noticed over time.
These are just some of the changes that Twitter has prepared. There are still more changes that should hit the public soon.
