The agency informed the suspension of the sale, distribution and use of three products from the same production line of the brand. The items are produced by the company Laticínios Santa Marai Ltd, which is located in Sergipe, in the city of Nossa Senhora da Glória.

As a result, at first, merchants and consumers should pay attention to the product label. to check its origin, especially if the product in question was purchased somewhere in the region North East.

According to information from Anvisa, the suspension was due to problems related to hygiene standards in force in Brazil.

In this case, the finding occurred in the line of products manufactured between January and May 2023. The UOL portal highlighted the occurrence and alerted consumers regarding the matter.

More details on product suspension

The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) carried out an inspection and confirmed that the products in question were manufactured by an unauthorized company.

More than that, the labels had wrong information, as they said they were produced by a branch different from the one they actually came from.

In addition, the place where the products were produced did not have the proper conditions for hygiene, as recommended by current legislation.

The three products withdrawn from circulation, according to the measure published last Friday (16) were:

  • Whole pasteurized milk;
  • Skimmed UHT milk (package containing 1 liter);
  • Partially demineralized whey powder 40% (25 kg pack).

Whoever bought irregular milk should do what?

If any consumer notices that he has purchased milk or whey from the aforementioned batches, he must contact the company to report the situation.

In this case, it will be up to the company to refund or replace the purchased item.

Contacts can be made through the Customer Service Center (SAC) on the package.
