A controversial situation involving the theft of a dog recently resurfaced, after the release of a video on YouTube, dated 2013. In it, a woman from Richmond, London, is seen leading a man's dog. Surprisingly, she justified her actions by claiming the man was abusing the animal.
The man, in turn, posted the video with the following description:

“I was carrying my baby and my dog was tied up in front of a convenience store for a few minutes. When I left, that woman decided I was mistreating my dog simply because he approached her for petting.”
In the video in question, you can see the woman walking away from the man with the dog in her arms. The man reported that the woman had expressed her intention to keep the dog, saying, "Now I'm going to keep my dog."
Woman stole pet from owner because he already had a baby
In the incident captured on video, the woman is seen removing the dog's collar and claiming the man was stealing her pet.
The man, in turn, explains that the woman was slandering him, accusing him of trying to steal the dog. This supposedly unfair accusation may explain why the woman decided to remove the dog's collar, possibly to make it harder to identify her.
The case raises questions about interpersonal conflicts and the importance of clear and respectful communication in resolving disputes.
Furthermore, the woman engaged in an even more disturbing act by threatening to take the man's baby and stating that she would contact child protective services.
She made the provocative comment that he would have to choose between his dog and his son. Those words can be heard in the video, when the woman says, "Dog or child, you can't have both."
By a stroke of luck, his clearly strange behavior was noticed by the people around, who intervened to help the man regain possession of his dog. The woman dropped the animal and fled the scene. Both the dog and the baby are safe now.
It is unfortunate that pet theft is becoming more and more common in the United States. According to Chewy, a company specializing in pet products, cases of dog theft have increased by at least 30% since 2021.
