Recently, Farfetch put itself in a situation that generated a lot of controversy among Internet users on social networks. The story begins when the store offers a pair of Havaianas flip-flops for R$ 531. No, you didn't read that wrong, that's exactly what happened.
After that, Internet users began to criticize the brand for the price of the product, as a pair usually costs an average of R$ 48 in the official Havaianas store. The model in question was a white flip-flop with the Brazilian flag, and the final price with shipping reached BRL 630.

Repercussion of the news among users of social networks
On Twitter, some people started spreading the news with incredulous comments: “Farfetch selling Hawaiian white for 500 reais.I am not I ambelievingabout it,” reports one young woman’s tweet.
In another publication, the internet user printed the store's website, where the slippers were being advertised with an abusive price: "Havaianas at farfetch per 512 reais.This can't be real“.
For those who want to purchase the flip-flops through Farfetch, the store offers payment in up to 12 interest-free installments, with monthly payments starting at R$44.25. That is, with the value of each installment, it is possible to buy 12 Havaianas on the brand's official website.
A curiosity is that on the Farfetch website there are also other models of flip flops being advertised. The Mastermind Japan model, for example, is going for the “trifle” of R$ 2,312.

Farfetch claimed in an interview that “boutiques have complete freedom in defining and applying prices of the products what make availableatplatform". And he added that “the piece in question originates from the United Arab Emirates, a country located in Middle East, which directly implies logistics and import fees added to the final price of the article in the currency Brazilian".
