Exemption from IPVA for motorcycles
Created by Senator Chico Rodrigues, the draft resolution provides for a new text on exemption from IPVA for motorcyclists. The current text admits the tax exemption for motorcycles of up to 150 cylinders, the new text, therefore, foresees increasing the increase in the number of cylinders to up to 170.
The new change has already been accepted by the Economic Affairs Commission (CAE) and its central objective is to help low-income motorcyclists. After all, most of these motorcycles are used as a work tool.
The IPVA for these small motorcycles is around R$300.00, but the exemption would already make a lot of difference in the pockets of these workers. Thus, app couriers are the ones most awaiting approval of the resolution.
VAT exemption for cars
Motor vehicle ownership tax (IPVA) is something feared by many drivers, as the newer the vehicle, the more expensive the tax. However, in addition to motorcycles, there are thousands of vehicles that are exempt from paying.
Cars, for example, when they complete a certain number of years of manufacture, receive exemption from taxes. However, this varies for each federative unit.
