How will the new Google Docs text editor work?

When you finish writing a sentence in Docs, the resource will signal which excerpts can be changed so that there is a better understanding of the text. So, to check it out, just click on the underlined words to see the construction suggestions and, if you are interested, you can choose them.

However, those who do not want the recommendations can disable the Google Docs tool. To do this, just access the resource's settings, which will be available in the "Tools" tab, under "Style Suggestions".

In the submenu, the user can choose which changes can be suggested, including vocabulary tips, inclusion, conciseness and voice type suggestions. Furthermore, vocabulary recommendations, in addition to making the writing less repetitive or plastered, will also tell you when a term may sound offensive to readers.

Will the suggestions be, in fact, useful for texts in Portuguese?

It is not yet known whether the suggestions will be really useful, or whether they will be available in languages ​​other than English. However, at least initially, the feature will only be rolled out to premium Google Workspace plans.

Construction recommendations by Google Docs, named “Tone and Style”, will be active for Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus and Education Plus plans. Vocabulary suggestions, called “Word Warnings”, will be available for Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Education Plus, Teaching e Learning Up.

In the browser platform version, it will not be necessary to make any changes to access the new feature. However, the app may need to download an update.
