Imagine that you are getting married and, minutes before the “I do”, discover a terrible secret about your future husband or wife? That's what happened in India last week.
Images that went viral on the internet show a groom being beaten by his wife's family brideafter a secret is revealed. The man was assaulted both physically and verbally by the woman's family when they noticed he was wearing a wig. According to the girl's relatives, he was trying to "fool" them.

The subject was also wearing a sehra, a kind of garland traditional in Indian weddings, worn on the head by the bride and groom at weddings. When he refused to take it off, the others began to suspect something.
One of the guests then pulled out the ornament, exposing the secret to all present - the groom's baldness. The man even recovered the accessory, but the attacks and offenses continued.

The situation gets worse
If he was just bald, this wouldn't even be such a big secret. The biggest problem was lying, as reported by some local press newspapers.
In another video released on social media, the man is seen apologizing for what happened. However, the fiancée refused to forgive him and her family continued their abuse.
If you think the story stops there, you are wrong.
According to India Today, a relative from the groom's first marriage revealed that he was bald. However, in addition, with a little deeper investigation, another, even more serious secret was discovered: the man had not yet officially divorced his first wife. This made the bride's relatives even more possessed with the individual.
Eventually the confusion passed. However, it is not known if they reconciled and the marriage was consummated. Most likely not. Just imagine this family's Sunday lunch after that!
