A channel from YouTube called “AI Imaginary World” accepted the challenge proposed by a participant and used AI to create visual representations of what countries would look like in the year 3000.
The resulting images portray futuristic cities with surprising and highly technologically advanced architectures.
When observing the images, it is possible to notice a trend of verticalization of cities, with impressive skyscrapers and structures made of futuristic materials. LED lights or similar technologies illuminate these cityscapes, creating an airtight environment.
In some countries, modernity coexists with the preservation of the environment. Technological landscapes are surrounded by lakes and urban forests, demonstrating a balance between technological advancement and sustainability.
However, in other regions, the lack of green areas can indicate the environmental challenges we are currently facing, such as climate change and the global warming.

It is interesting to note that in futuristic representations there is an absence of precarious housing and low-income communities, even in countries currently affected by conflicts, hunger and inequalities. This may indicate a possible improvement in socioeconomic conditions and a quest for equality and social justice.
In case of Brazil, the city of Rio de Janeiro is represented by numerous skyscrapers contrasting with rock formations.
It's important to remember that these are just predictions based on algorithms and that the future could be very different than what the images suggest.
The exercise of futurology allows us to imagine possibilities and makes us reflect on the impact of our present actions in building the future.
Until the year 3000 arrives, it is up to us to work to create a better, sustainable and egalitarian world for future generations.
