The survey is carried out by IPEA and the most recent study on counties considered the number of deaths per 100,000 inhabitants to establish an estimated rate of murders in Brazilian cities.
According to the numbers, the safest cities in Brazil are in the South and Southeast. You data consider different categories and socioeconomic conditions in data analysis on homicides in Brazil.

In the 2019 Atlas of Violence, IPEA published a breakdown by municipalities with the following estimates.
1. Jahu (SP)
Approximately 152,000 inhabitants and a rate of 2.7 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
2. Indaiatuba (SP)
Accounting for 260,000 inhabitants and a rate of 3.5 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
3. Valinhos (SP)
With 130,000 inhabitants and a rate of 4.7 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
4. Jaraguá do Sul (SC)
The approximate number of inhabitants is 185 thousand and the rate of 5.5 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants.
5. Brusque (SC)
It is estimated that the municipality has 135,000 inhabitants and a rate of 5.8 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
6. Jundiaí (SP)
With 419,000 inhabitants and a rate of 6.1 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
7. Steps (MG)
Registering 115 thousand inhabitants and a rate of 7.2 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants.
8. Limeira (SP)
Featuring 310,000 inhabitants and a rate of 7.7 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
9. American (SP)
With about 242,000 inhabitants and a rate of 7.7 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
10. Bragança Paulista (SP)
Approximately 173,000 inhabitants and a rate of 7.7 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
11. Santos (SP)
Registering 434 thousand inhabitants and a rate of 7.8 deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants.
12. Araraquara (SP)
With 239,000 inhabitants and a rate of 7.9 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
13. Sao Caetano (SP)
Featuring 162,000 inhabitants and a rate of 7.9 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
14. Tubarão (SC)
With an estimated number of 105,000 inhabitants and a rate of 8.1 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants.
