The program
During an event at the Planalto Palace, the President of the Republic suggested to the Vice President, Geraldo Alckmin, the reissue of the program to encourage the purchase of these products.
He stressed the importance of facilitating the acquisition of refrigerators, televisions and washing machines, considering that, occasionally, people need to replace their household items. Lula mentioned the need to make products more accessible and cheaper to, according to him, benefit the population.
However, the president also emphasized the importance of responsible consumption and warned that people should not spend beyond their financial means.
The representative also mentioned that, in the coming days, the government will officially launch the Desenrola program, which aims to renegotiate debts of individuals, with the aim of stimulating consumption in the country.

However, these products usually have a high added value due to technologies and raw materials. involved in its production, which makes it difficult to change it frequently, especially in periods of low activity economical.
The list of items included in the potential project includes:

Relaunch of the program
It is noteworthy that this would not be the first time that the government has adopted measures to encourage the purchase of white goods.
During Lula's second term, in 2009, a program was launched that reduced the Tax on Products Industrial Products (IPI) in four product categories: refrigerators, stoves, washing machines and six packs.
The IPI reductions were applied over a three-month period, with reduced rates to encourage consumption of these items.
At that time, discounts were applied on the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI) as follows:
- Refrigerator: from 15% to 5%;
- Stove: from 5% to zero;
- Clothes washing machines: from 20% to 10%;
- Tanquinho: from 10% to 0%.
