The registration period for the 8th edition of the Brazilian Geography Olympiad (OBG) comes to an end next Tuesday, 25. Those interested in participating can register on the portal of the THANKS.
To enter the event, each schoolform a team of three students and a teacher. The competition is aimed at students enrolled from the 9th grade of elementary school and high school.

It will be divided into three phases, which will be carried out through virtual platforms, and a face-to-face phase. Participants will have the opportunity to test their geographic knowledge and face challenges that cover several aspects of the discipline.
Participate in the Brazilian Geography Olympiad!
In the final test of the OBG, two teams from each Brazilian federation will be selected, totaling 54 teams. It is important to highlight that, according to the regulation, one of the chosen ones must come from a public educational institution, while the other needs to be from a private institution.
The first three stages of the Olympiad consist of multiple-choice questions and completing tasks. Participants will have the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledgegeographical area, apply concepts and skills learned throughout your study journey.

The OBG assessments will take place in August, while the face-to-face meeting is scheduled to take place in November. In addition to the competitions, the Olympiad offers studyand support to help students prepare for the competition.
The final result will be announced by the organizing committee after the first three phases. Participants will receive certificates and medals in recognition of their performance in the competition.
Students who stand out in the 3rd phase online will receive digital certificates, while those who obtain a excellent performance in the face-to-face phase will get the opportunity to represent Brazil at the International Olympics in Geography (IGEO). Don't waste time and apply!
