Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a powerful tool capable of performing complicated and impressive tasks. However, the interaction between AI and content does not always turn out as expected.
This was evidenced recently in an incident involving the film franchise of 'Star Wars’ and a famous American website, Gizmodo.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in content production
Seeking to explore new possibilities in content production, Gizmodo decided to experiment with the inclusion of productions made by ChatGPT and Google Bard in their articles and publications.
The site's editor-in-chief, excited by AI's prospects, opted to employ the tools the same day they were made available.
However, the initial excitement soon dissipated when a text produced by a bot was published, addressing the chronological order of the 'Star Wars' series and films.
The results left something to be desired, and the site's writers were deeply dissatisfied with the use of technology to produce such relevant content.

Using AI brought unsatisfactory consequences
The lack of proofreading of AI-generated text was a major point of concern. Professionals identified 18 failures, inaccurate information and issues to be corrected. Such concerns were promptly communicated in an email sent to the editor-in-chief.
In addition, the contents written by the AIs were not coherent enough. The 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars' series was mistakenly placed in an incorrect order, and other significant productions such as 'Andor' were omitted.
The use of AI to compose texts has generated a wave of dissatisfaction among employees at G/O Media, the company that owns Gizmodo. Contributors saw this approach as disrespectful of journalists and a threat to the site's reputation and credibility.
The lack of involvement of the editorial team in publishing the AI-generated article further aggravated the situation, leaving it is clear that technology, however advanced it may be, cannot completely replace the human touch in the creative process and editorial.
This episode serves as a warning for the use ofArtificial intelligencein content production and highlights the importance of human review and supervision in automated processes.
