Marilia Dias Mendonça was born on July 22, 1995, in Cristianópolis, in the interior of the state of Goiás. However, she moved to the capital Goiania as a child, where she remained until the end of her life.
Daughter of Ruth Dias and Mário Mendonça, the singer had eight siblings, of which seven were on her father's side. Marília had only one younger brother on her mother's side. The young man, named João Gustavo, is also a singer.
