The Animal Kingdom is one of the five kingdoms of living beings that exist on planet Earth. The characteristics that differentiate animals from other beings is that they are all multicellular eukaryotes. That is, they are composed of several cells that have a nucleus.
Animals are all heterotrophs, that is, they feed on other living beings, they cannot photosynthesize like plants. And that's all they have in common, there are animals of all kinds and they live everywhere.
There are animals that live at the bottom of the sea where no people arrive, there are animals that stay still and never move, there are animals that are super fast. There are animals that you don't see because they are so small, there are animals that are bigger than your house. Those who fly, those who swim, those who walk and even those who know how to do all three without the help of a plane!
