The main industrial centers of the State
- Metropolitan Region of São Paulo: the industries located in this region operate mainly in the development of technologies and manufacturing of automobiles.
- Vale do Paraíba: industries that produce aircraft, vehicles, such as General Motors and Volkswagen, in addition to producing high technology, electronics, textiles and chemicals.
- Campinas: the industries in this region concentrate on production, mainly of automobiles, technologies, petrochemicals and textiles.
- Central Administrative Region: houses important companies such as: Volkswagen, Faber-Castell and Electrolux.

It stands out in the creation of cattle, swine and poultry in general.
Agriculture
In agricultural practice, the State of São Paulo is a great producer in different cultures, among many, the main ones are: sugar cane, orange, corn, soy, banana, tomato, cassava, potato, bean, herbaceous cotton and coffee.
