Diseases and Pathologies: information on the varied causes of diseases

The word illness comes from the Latin term sluggishness which means "feeling or causing pain, grieving, grieving." There are several definitions for this term, but specialists consider diseases as pathological manifestations that present themselves in our body. They are always associated with specific symptoms, leading the individual who presents them to deprive themselves of physical, emotional and mental pleasures.

WHO classifies disease as the absence of health and makes available to society the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, designated by the acronym CID. At the ICD we have access to the classification of diseases and the wide variety of signs, symptoms, normal aspects, complaints, social circumstances and external causes for injuries and illnesses.

According to WHO, the following are considered diseases:

Infectious and parasitic diseases;

Neoplasms (tumors);

Blood and hematopoietic organ diseases and some immune disorders;

Endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases;

Mental and behavioral disorders;

Nervous system diseases;

Diseases of the eyes and adnexa;
