Participants who scored 100 or more points on each objective test and at least 5 points on the essay can apply for a certificate of completion of elementary or high school.

In the case of participants who did not obtain the minimum score in all tests, but did in one or more, they can request a declaration of proficiency. With the declaration, students can exclude, in a future edition of Encceja, the subjects in which they have already achieved the minimum grade.

Where to order Encceja's certificate

The Encceja Certificate is issued by the state education departments and federal institutes that have an agreement with Inep. In all, there are 383 certifying institutions registered for the End 2019.

State secretariats issue certificates and declarations of proficiency for both primary and secondary education, while federal institutes issue only for secondary education.

What is Encceja for?

Encceja was created in 2002 with the objective of granting a certificate in elementary and high school education to Brazilians outside of school age. For elementary school, the minimum age is 15 years, and for high school, 18 years.

Between 2009 and 2016, the And either replaced Encceja for high school certification. In 2017, this function returned to Encceja.
