Complementary and supplementary angles

Âangles are the opening between two semi-straight that have the same origin. The word angle it also refers to the measure, given in degrees, that represents this opening.

The tool used to measure angles it's called a protractor. An angle can measure from 0° to 360°. say that two angles are complementary or that are supplementary means to say that the sum of your measurements has a fixed value as a result. These fixed values are, respectively, the straight angle it's the shallow angle.

complementary angles

Two angles are called complementary when the sum between them equals 90° degrees (right angle).

Also, when these two angles share a vertex and a side, they are called a adjacent complementary angles.

when two angles are complementary, one is said complement from the other.

supplementary angles

Two angles are called supplementary when the sum between them is equal to 180° (shallow angle).

When these two angles share a vertex and a side, they are called

adjacent supplementary angles. Also, when two angles they are supplementary, one is said supplement from the other.
