Divisibility by 5. Divisibility criteria by 5

This divisibility criterion is very similar to the divisibility by 2 criterion, as the criterion by 5 analyzes only the last digit of the number, as well as the divisibility criterion by 2. However, the conditions for analyzing these figures are different.
Let's see if we can see any criteria in the table of 5.

See that the results are always ending in 0 or 5. With that, we can draw an idea about the divisibility criterion by 5.

On the right side of the times tables were listed the first 7 multiples of 5. Being a multiple of 5 is the same as saying that the number is divisible by 5. Therefore, note that numbers divisible by 5 always have the last digit equal to 5 or equal to 0.

Therefore, we can say that:

"The criterion of divisibility by 5 consists of analyzing whether the last digit of the number is 0 or 5."

Some examples of numbers divisible by 5:1234560, 1234565, 98765, 357895, 1472580.
