Electric Energy and Power of Household Appliances

The electric energy generated in the plants is very important for the functioning of the electronic devices in our house. This electrical energy is transformed into other energies, according to the device. For example, the shower uses electrical energy to heat water, so it transforms electrical energy into energy thermal (heat), the stereo transforms electricity into sound energy, the fan transforms electrical energy into movement. Each device has a task that, when performed, requires this source of energy produced in the plants.
Another important characteristic of the devices is the power they have, that is, the ability to transform electrical energy into another type of energy more quickly. On very hot days the showers should be placed in the summer position, as the water is more heated, the shower needs less electricity to heat it. On very cold days, for the shower to keep the water hot, it needs to be placed in the winter position, so it will use more electricity.

There are devices that have the same function, but in terms of power they are quite different. One

portable radio has power less than one home theater, despite the two having the function of transforming electrical energy into sound energy.

The hair dryer that your mother uses at home has the same function as the hair dryer in the beauty salon, the only difference is that the hair dryer in the salon uses more electricity to produce a greater amount of hot wind, while the dryer used at home uses less energy because it has less power and generates a smaller amount of wind heated.

Understanding all this is very simple, you just have to think about the following situation: greater power, more amount of electrical energy; less power, less amount of electrical energy. It is important to inform that when we use appliances with higher power we are using more electricity, therefore, the energy bill should be more expensive at the end of the month. So we need to save electricity to save money.
Save electricity using low or medium power appliances, on hot days leave the shower in the summer position, do not leave the refrigerator open for a long time, use the electric iron to iron large amounts of clothes and do not leave lights on without necessity.
