Author and narrator. Is there a difference between author and narrator?

Have you ever been curious to know if there is a difference between the storyteller it's the author of those delicious stories we read? Well, from now on we will get to know better about these two people who provide us with fun and (why not say?) knowledge.

Now, don't consider them as if they were the same person, because the author is that person who writes, that is, who creates the book. So he needs to find a way to give us what he wants to tell us, doesn't he? But believe me: he cannot assume this appeal, so he has the help of another being. But is he real, is he a person just like the author?

No of course not! It is an imaginary person, a fictitious (invented) being, who exists only to tell us about everything that happens within this or that story we read, ok? It may even be that there are some identity traits, of similarity between these two beings, as the author represents someone with thoughts, with their own ideas, just like human beings. Thus, it may be that on some occasions, when creating a narrator, the author deliberately builds it with something in common between the two. But remember:

Author is who creates the story.

Narrator is a being that the author uses to tell us the story.
