Well, from now on we will get to know one of the elements that make up the so-called narrative texts. To start, let's think about the following:

The narrative focus is one of the elements of the narrative

When we read a story, there is someone who plays the important role of telling us what happened in it, isn't that right? This someone is called storyteller, but we also need to know the way in which it is used to accomplish this important task. Ready! We found out what the narrative focus, that is, the way the narrator reports the speech.

He takes on different positions and roles, which can be classified as follows:

* First person narrator – As we can see, if he is from the first person, he participates in the facts, that is, he is also a character in the story. For this reason it is also called

protagonist narrator or supporting narrator.

* Third person narrator – Assuming this role, he does not participate in the facts narrated, as he prefers to stay there quietly, quietly. Do you know what he does?

He just watches from the outside, then tells us everything. Therefore, we can say that it is classified into two modes:

- Omniscient narrator - He can believe it: this type of narrator knows the whole story, even what the characters think.

- Observer Narrator - This one, in turn, is not that audacious – he, unlike the first one, does not know the whole story, he just confines himself to narrating as the facts happen.
