Nominal Regency. What characterizes the nominal regency?

Nominal Regency... Perhaps for you this subject is still unknown, but as we share the information, you will notice that it is something simple and easy to understand, and more: that we use it constantly, both in speech and in writing.

In our language, there are certain words that can only be considered correct if they are accompanied by the use of the preposition, as is the case of some nouns, adjectives, adverbs and verbs. So, for you to better understand what we're saying, let's take an example:

I have capacity for get good grade on the test.

I have capacity in make new friends.

Imagine that if after the word capacity, which represents a noun, the prepositions “to” and “from” did not exist. Could we understand the message as well as we understand it?

Certainly your answer will be negative, since, as we have already said, this noun (capacity) needs a complement, which in this case is the preposition.

Thus, the concept of nominal regency says that: it represents the relationship that exists between a name (noun, adjective or adverb) and the terms that govern (which accompany) that name.

So, let's see a list with the main ones, separated in order to make you understand perfectly the subject of our meeting. Let's meet them?
