Yes, now we need to know why it is called an adjective pronoun. As you know, this pronoun, as we have already learned, belongs to the possessive pronouns, those represented by “my, mine, yours”, etc.
Another aspect is that it is following the noun “friend”, do you agree? We discovered something fantastic: the adjective pronoun is the one that accompany the noun.
Let's look at one more example:
My friend is very kind, but the your it is not.
Find out quickly: what little word is the pronoun “your”, which is also possessive, replacing?
Ah! Of course it's the noun “friend”, would you agree?
So let's make another discovery: the noun pronoun is the one that replaces the noun.
