Did you know that climate and weather are different concepts? Weather is characterized as the atmospheric conditions of a location at a given time. The climate, in turn, is the set of variations in the weather of a place, being classified after long observations of atmospheric phenomena.
Therefore, climate is established after years of continual analysis of the time repetitions of a place. Among the factors that affect the climate are vegetation, relief, air masses, humidity, location on the planet, in addition to human action.
Children playing in low temperature places
The climate and the weather are natural elements that interfere in the population's habits, such as clothes, since cold regions people wear coats, hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, among other accessories that can combat the action of cold.In regions with higher temperatures, however, people dress in lighter clothes.
The games can also vary according to the weather. In places with high temperatures, games can be played in rivers, swimming pools, squares, etc. However, in cold places it is also possible to have fun, especially with the snow, which occurs in some places on the planet.
Earth's Climate Zones
Five Climate Zones have been established on Earth:
Arctic Glacial Zone: located north of the Arctic Circle; it is characterized by cold.
Northern Temperate Zone: located between the Arctic Circle and the Tropic of Cancer, it has mild temperatures and four well-defined seasons.
Intertropical Zone: covers the area between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn. This region of the globe is “cut” by the equator, being marked by high temperatures.
Southern Temperate Zone: it is located between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Antarctic Polar Circle. Temperatures are pleasant.
Antarctic Glacial Zone: comprises the regions south of the Antarctic Polar Circle. Temperatures are among the lowest on the planet.
