Are there or a?

We are facing two identical words as to sound, is it not? Equal because the letter “h”, when pronounced, does not represent any value in this aspect. But what about spelling? We know they are not identical. But what about the meaning?
This fact occurs with many, many words in the Portuguese language that, despite having similarities, both in sound and spelling, have different meanings. Thus, in order for us to use them correctly, we need to be aware of this detail.
But don't worry, we'll learn in a moment what the characteristics of the expressions “ha” and “a” are. Consequently, we will become experts in this matter. So, are we going together on this unmissable mission?
The “ha”, which represents the third person of the verb to have, is only used in the sense of indicating a time that has already passed. As shown in the following example:
A few days ago we were at the beach.
We realize that this is a fact that has already happened.
Now, notice this other example:
In two months it will be my birthday

.
Unlike the idea we expressed in the other example, in this one we are referring to something that it will still happen, even because the verb itself reveals all this to us, as it is in time future.
So whenever your goal is this, use the “a”. Acting like this, he will certainly always get it right!!!
