The stressed syllable of words

To facilitate our understanding of this subject, it is necessary to pay close attention to the way words are pronounced.
But how are we going to accomplish this task?
Looking at the way the syllables are pronounced, we notice that some are pronounced with more force, others with less.
Citing the example of the word – "House":
We note that the syllable here was pronounced more strongly than the syllable sa.
That's why we say she is the stressed syllable.
Here's a special reminder that you can never forget!
We count the syllables of words, starting from the end to the beginning.

According to the position of the stressed syllable, the words are given different names, that's what we'll know now.
Oxytones – the stressed syllable is the last.
E.g. coffee - vine - baby
Paroxytones – the stressed syllable is the penultimate.
Ex: useful – chest – taxi
Proparoxytones – the stressed syllable is the antepenultimate syllable.
E.g.: tree - lamp - number
All proparoxytones are accentuated
When we study about this subject, it is very important to know about the case of monosyllables, which as you already know, are words that have a single syllable.

They are classified into unstressed and tonics.
Unaccented monosyllables are those that are weakly pronounced, as they do not have their own accent.
e.g. of me if you
Tonics are more pronounced and have their own accent.

Ex: powder - give - now
Attention! Stay tuned!
All stressed monosyllables ending in: a. and, with the presence of the “s” or not, are accentuated.
