We invite you to think a little bit about how the language we speak is alive, dynamic. What conclusion did you reach?
Certainly the same as us: it is constantly changing, that is, with the passage of time new words are invented by users, right? A living example of this is the language used by internet users (you should probably be part of this group). Well, it is very likely that in conversations with your friends, family, in short, with people you know, some new words will come up. Some, only those who are sharing understand.
Well, our goal at this meeting is to talk a little more about the calls neologisms, which are nothing less than these words that arise daily. But we would like you to understand why they are called so, since the prefix neo, like many others, it originated from another language, and its meaning is expressed as “new”.
Neologisms represent the new words that appear in our vocabulary
But pay attention to a very important detail: many of them are being incorporated into the linguistic routine of many people, but they are not yet formally registered, that is, they are not portrayed in the dictionary. Only after they are there, endowed with their true meaning and ready, at our disposal (in the dictionary), do they cease to be neologisms.
