Before we start talking about the palindromes, it is noteworthy that this term is not exclusive to the Portuguese language. You can find it associated with mathematics, since it also concerns numbers that can be read in any direction without impairing the senses. In Portuguese, the phenomenon is almost the same, but instead of numbers, it happens with letters.

A palindrome can be present in a word, a phrase, or a numerical sequence.
The word "palindrome" is of Greek origin and was formed by two other words: palin, which means "back", and dromes, which means "race" or "track", i.e, palindrome, literally, it means "that which runs in reverse". Palindromes can be classified into different categories, check this out:
☺Explicit palindromes: They are those that present a direct message, easy to be interpreted:
THE SUITCASE IS NOT IN THE MUD.
☺Interpretable palindromes: They are those that demand some attention from the reader and only make sense after careful reading:
THE ROMAN ATTACKS LOVES TO BELOVED LADIES AND ROME ATTACKS DATING
☺Foolish Palindromes: As the name implies, this type of palindrome doesn't make any sense! Without worrying about the meaning, he can gather several words that do not have any kind of connection:
OLÉ PASSION FRUIT, CASHEW, CARAMELO.
