Do you remember the adverbial adjuncts? Oh yeah, isn't that right? Now they express the circumstance in which the verb is found. Those circumstances of manner, place, time, in short, they are many.
Well then, the time has come to know the adverbal subordinate clauses, as they are classified according to the different circumstances expressed in the verb of the main clause. Shall we meet them then?
# Subordinate clauses causal adverbs– reveal the idea of the cause expressed in the main clause. The conjunctions that represent them are the following: “because, since, since, how”, etc.
We didn't go to the movies, why it was raining a lot.
# Temporal subordinate clauses– indicate the idea of time expressed in the main prayer. They are represented by the following conjunctions: “when, as soon as, as soon as, while”, among others.
Soon when the teacher arrived, everyone was silent.
# Proportional adverbial subordinate clauses – they indicate the idea of proportion expressed by the fact of the main clause. The prayers that represent them are: “as, as”, etc.
As I study, I learn more and more.
# Conditional adverbial subordinate clauses– they express the idea of condition expressed by the fact of the main clause. “If, as long as, unless, since”, among others, they represent our little friends.
I will go with you to the movies, since my family doesn't decide to travel.
# Subordinate adverbial concessive clauses– they reveal the opposite idea, contrary to that expressed in the main clause. They are represented by the following conjunctions: “although, even though, even though”.
Even my family don't travel, I won't go to the movies with you.
# Consecutive adverbial subordinate clauses– reveals the idea of consequence expressed by the fact of the main clause. Conjunctions such as “so, so, so, size”, among others, accompany the main one – “that”, and, consequently, represent these clauses.
Size was the loss what decided to close the company.
# Subordinate final adverbial clauses– express the purpose of the main prayer. “For what, so that” are those considered most common.
I study a lot, so that can get good results in the evaluations.
# Comparative adverbial subordinate clauses– they establish an idea of comparison expressed in the main clause. They are represented by “so... how, so... how much more... than".

# Conformative adverbial subordinate clauses– they express an idea of conformity with the fact expressed in the previous clause. The conjunctions that represent them are: “according, consonant, second, how”.
