We are getting to know another textual genre, this time it is one that is very present in our daily lives, because to find it just flip through a few pages of the newspaper, connect to the Internet or even turn on the television on a particular time. It's the news we're talking about and, as you know, each genre has a goal in establishing communication between interlocutors (people involved in speech or writing), and what refers to this modality is information about events related to society in general.
An extremely important detail that we must be aware of is the type of language established, that is, to identify if it is formal or informal, if there is the participation of the issuer (the person who writes or speaks) in the sense of issuing some kind of opinion, among other aspects. The news, specifically, has a clear, precise and objective language, since it is information and therefore everything that is reported needs to be clear in order to make the message convey in a proper. How about we now know a little more about the parts that make up this genre? So, let's see:
* The main headline or headline – It is usually composed of small and catchy sentences, and reveals the main subject that will be portrayed next.
* The auxiliary title – Its function is to complement the main title, adding just a little more information.
* The lead (this term is derived from an English word – lead) – In this part we need to find all the necessary information to answer the following questions: Where did the event happen? With whom? What happened? When? Like? Because? What was the subject?
* News body – In it, there is a greater detailing of the facts, in order to highlight the most important details, fundamental to the interlocutor's understanding.
